Dear parents During this period of unprecedented national lockdown and a nation wide collective effort to break the chain of COVID-19 infection, we have full faith and hope that your families are healthy, safe and careful. With regard to the benefit of our students, keeping in mind their studies and the curriculum to be completed, we are putting in full efforts to make up for the time loss by conducting the full fledged online classes. We are also thankful to you for the attention and support given for the same from your end. At the same time, we are receiving queries regarding the payment of fees. As per the government's directive you now have the option to pay the fees in monthly installments. Hence you are requested to pay the fees for the month of April-2020 by cash or the HDFC portal in the school website, as done by you earlier. Please contact the school office staff for any help. This cooperation will help us meet our fixed expenses like the staff salaries etc. It will also help you to reduce the burden of paying it together later. We all pray to the Almighty and urge you to take all the precautions to stay home, safe and this pandemic also shall get over.
In view of the Novel Corona virus (COVID-19) spreading across the country and with much uncertainty and speculation in the air, the Council in the interest of the health and well-being of the students and the teaching community has decided to postpone all ICSE and ISC Year 2020 Examinations scheduled to be conducted between the period 19th March 2020 to 31st March 2020. The ICSE 2020 Examination was scheduled to end on 30th March 2020 and the ISC 2020 Examination was scheduled to end on 31st March 2020. The revised dates for conduct of the remaining papers shall be notified in due course of time. The Heads of Schools are required to ensure that all concerned candidates, teachers and parents are informed immediately.
An annual excursion is organized for the students of SSA, Shyam Nagar on 3rd of December. A group of pre-primary students took a walk through the Z-Square Mall and enjoyed a lot. They had watched an Animated Movie "Frozen 2" at Inox Multiplex. They also had some snacks at Mcdonalds. The visit to the Z-square was an enthralling experience for young minds.
An activity "MY 10 KG PLASTIC" was organised by "Parle-G" on 2nd October. Little kids of Sughar Singh Academy, Shyam Nagar have joined this activity with full enthusiasm. The motto of this activity to collect 10 KG of plastic & to handover to nearest representative/ nearest collection point of Parle-G.
Prize distribution function is a pride day for the students. It gives them chance to show their worth. The Prize Distribution Ceremony was held to felicitate the Students on 25th October, 2019 at Sughar Singh Academy, Shyam Nagar. It was held in the open area of the school. A beautiful sitting arrangement was made. Director Ma'am and Director Sir presided over it. All the winners received a bicycle as a prize. For all the prize winners it was a proud moment as they are a source of motivation for those who did not win any prizes. Director Sir congratulated the winners and encouraged more to be on stage next year. Vote of thanks was delivered followed by dispersal.

Declamation Competition hosted by Sughar Singh Academy, Shyam Nagar. Declamation is about redelivering of an important or famous speech. The speaker reinterprets the original, reproducing its power. It is a very good exercise for public speaking skills. The purpose is to have the students directly experience the power of a masterfully crafted language. This method of teaching was used in ancient Greece, where public speaking was considered a necessary art of anybody embarking on a career in public.
We had our Sports Day on the 21st of this month. The day was full of fun and excitement. The PAC ground was well decorated. Both boys and girls took part in it. The preparation started two weeks earlier. There was March past by the players, beating of the drums and clapping. The Director Ma'am, Director Sir and the Principal Ma'am took the salute. The events included races, jumps and other track events. The events closed with a prize giving ceremony. The prizes were given away by the Director of the SSA Group.
School, a firm believer of moral values, did an enactment of the Hindu epic 'Ramleela.’ Toddlers, all between the grades from 3 to 8 were dressed up like Rama, Seeta, Dashrath, Hanuman, etc. Seeing such young kids perform on stage, Teachers and other staffs were ecstatic. For most of the kids, this was their first ever performance on stage but as childhood knows no norms and is free of worries, the kids were less nervous and more excited to perform their roles.
To develop the skill of non- flame dishes, a weekly activity ‘Cooking without fire’ was organized at SSA, Shyam Nagar. The aim of the activity was to provide a platform for students to showcase their talent and explore new areas of interest. It was conducted with a view to create awareness about the nutritional value of food cooked without fire. The students prepared healthy dishes and served the dishes in an artistic and aesthetic way.

MAGIC SHOW A Magic Show was organised in Sughar Singh Academy, Shyam Nagar on 18th May' 2018. It was organised in the school’s assembly ground. His repertoire of magical acts proved his dexterity in the sleight of hand. Things appeared and disappeared at his beckoning amid rounds of applause from the students, who were thrilled by the show. He also invited some of the students to the stage to perform a few tricks. He held the attention of the students with the skill that he displayed.
